MARTIAL ARTS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR 3-5 YEAR OLDS

Frequently Asked Questions!

What do you mean by mutual introductory classes?
Literally just that! If a child attends our introductory class, we will be able to assess whether they are ready for structured activities such as Tigers. There may be occasions when a child just doesn't seem ready for it, if this applies to your child, that doesn't mean they will never be ready for it. Simply bring them back within an agreed time (usually a few months), and you could be surprised with the difference.
There are 7 belts to achieve before they leave Tan'Gun Tigers and graduate to Tan'Gun Dragons as part of the main syllabus with Tan'Gun Taekwondo

How many children can attend before the class is 'Full'?
Typically, there are 10 children to 1 teacher.

How long are the classes?
Classes are 30 minutes in length.

That's not enough time to do anything, how can you teach them anything?
30 minutes is the optimum time for this age group. We can teach your child so much in this time, often a surprising amount. From experience any longer than this and children can become quite tired or unresponsive.

Will my child learn to fight?
Your child is still very young, and in many respects unable to differentiate between fighting and self defence. At Tan'Gun Tigers we teach them important life skills and touch on moral values. Punching, Kicking & Blocking are taught, but nothing is ever confrontational. We do it in a fun way as that is the most productive way a child learns.

Will my 3 year old be in a different class to my 4 year old?
No, although only sometimes a few months apart in age, a 3 year old will typically not be as focussed and physically able as a 4 or 5 year old will. Primarily this is due to their own natural developmental level, however there are of course other issues that may be apparent. Generally though, we find that younger children work well with older children.

Hey,I'm completely satisfied and want to give it a go.
